Important changes to the application process.

We are starting the journey towards a new online application process for all products. Starting in early 2025, tap and shower customers will have the ability to submit their applications directly to WRAS through the new online portal. This update simplifies the approval process, providing manufacturers with more control and visibility at every stage. There will be direct communication with WRAS and at a much earlier stage.

 Here’s a step-by-step overview of the streamlined application process:

 Submission of Applications:

Applicants will submit their applications directly to WRAS via the online portal, ensuring a quick and user-friendly experience.

 Testing Requirements:

Once the application is submitted and reviewed, WRAS will issue test requirements to the applicant and specify the samples that need to be provided to WRAS for verification.

 Choose Test Laboratories:

WRAS is committed to giving your choice! Applicants choose and engage one of the eight WRAS-recognised mechanical test laboratories and one of the five recognised materials laboratories to carry out the necessary testing as outlined by WRAS.

 Application Review:

While the testing is carried out WRAS will addresses any application queries and inspect the requested samples. The application is reviewed at a PAAG meeting during this time, meaning final approval decisions can now be made promptly after the test report is submitted and reviewed, Eliminating the need to wait for the next PAAG meeting.

 Final Review:

Once the test report is received, WRAS will perform a final review of the application, continuing our high standards of decision making and maintaining full independence from testing.

 Approval Documentation:

Upon approval, the official documentation will be uploaded to the online portal, providing applicants with instant access to their certificates.
